BACKGROUND
Only one out of ten choose to study technology in high school. And even worse: just 16 percent are girls. Due to a report women prefers jobs that involve helping people before jobs in the technology industry. The Association of Swedish Engineering Industries (Teknikföretagen) needs to recruit thousands new tech talents by 2030 – preferrably young girls.
WHAT WE DID
The aim of the concept Hack the World is to show young girls that a job in the technology industry may be a perfect match for them since technology actually is a great tool for helping people. Fact is, hacking is another word for problem solving.
